Overview
A Cord Cutting session is a symbolic and reflective process designed to support emotional release at times of transition or closure. It is well suited for those who feel ready to loosen an attachment to a person, place, situation, or chapter of life and want a clear, intentional way to mark that shift.
Using hypnosis and guided imagery, we work with the emotional and somatic experience of attachment and allow space for release to occur in a way that feels respectful and contained. Cord cutting does not erase memories or invalidate the importance of what has been experienced. Instead, it supports a healthier relationship to the past, allowing you to move forward with greater ease.

Letting go of attachment to a previous home or residence

Understanding My Approach
The Body–Mind Connection
Attachment is often felt in the body before it is fully understood cognitively. Sensations such as tension, pull, or emotional charge can signal where a connection is still being held. We work with these somatic responses to bring awareness to what is ready to shift, allowing release to happen in a way that feels contained and respectful.
The Role of Imagination
Imagination is used as a symbolic and experiential tool. Through guided imagery, attachments are represented in a way that allows the nervous system and emotional body to participate in letting go. This symbolic engagement supports integration without denying the meaning or importance of what is being released.
The Use of Hypnosis in Cord Cutting
Hypnosis supports a focused, inward state that allows both conscious understanding and subconscious patterns to be addressed together. Rather than forcing change, hypnosis helps create the conditions for release, resolution, and emotional recalibration to occur naturally.
What to Expect During a Cord Cutting Session
Opening Conversation
We’ll begin by discussing the attachment or experience that brings you here, along with any expectations or questions you may have. This helps clarify intention and ensures the process feels aligned and contained.
Relaxation and Focus
While you are seated or lying down, I’ll guide you through a gentle relaxation process that supports an inwardly focused and receptive state, creating a calm foundation for exploration.
Guided Exploration
Using imagery and somatic awareness, you’ll be invited to notice how you internally relate to the attachment. This may include body sensations, emotional responses, or symbolic impressions that arise when focusing on what is being held.
Symbolic Release
We work with the imagery that arises to support a symbolic release. This process allows space for acknowledgment, resolution, and letting go in a way that feels respectful and paced. Attention is also given to integration and a sense of completion.
Additional Support
If needed, I may gently incorporate other supportive techniques such as timeline exploration, inner child or archetypal work, or additional visualization to assist with emotional integration.
Conclusion and Integration
We’ll close by reflecting on the session and noticing any internal shifts or insights. Time is taken to support integration and answer any questions before concluding.
